Courtenay Museum

While driving up island I stopped to visit the Courtenay Museum. This was my first visit to this museum, and I now wonder why I had not ever visited it before. This is not your ordinary local museum with exhibits of 1900’s clothing and tinned goods.

What attracts you when you enter is the palaeontology display. I can believe that this is BC’s premier marine fossil destination. Simply outstanding.

I know that I will be visiting again soon. I recommend that you do also if you are near Courtenay.
