Walking along the beach of the Salish Sea, I came across this stump that had been cast ashore by the sea. It is hard to imagine something this large being borne by the waters. Sailors know what this stump can do when they come across it in the water. On shore we can only look at the stump and admire its size and shape.
Kind of like us and God. In His hands we have power, and out of them, we are powerless and can only be admired for our size and shape. The difference between the sea and God is that He doesn’t throw us out of His arms.
